How We Work

If you think your child would benefit from English support, please feel free to get in touch via the Contact Me page.

Every programme of study is designed around the individual student, but broadly speaking we’ll go through the following steps:

  1. We’ll arrange an initial lesson in which I’ll conduct a brief, informal assessment to gauge the student’s current level and determine which areas of study we should address first. This first session is also a chance for students to get to know me and visa versa - so we won’t jump into anything too tricky on lesson one!

  2. I’ll follow up with a brief written report of our first session and where we might aim to go next.

  3. We’ll follow a carefully planned programme designed with your child’s unique learning style in mind. We often use a combination of national curriculum resources, popular teaching books, past papers, sample exams and my own resources, a few of which are listed below.

  4. Parents and carers are free to request feedback and progress reports at any point during tuition.
